“I will be glad to get back behind the wheel of the Wisk Dodge this weekend at Charlotte. We got the pole there last year in the Busch race and led a lot of laps. But this spring we had a strong car and we ran over debris from a wreck in the early going and it tore up the front of the Wisk Dodge pretty bad. That could have been a much better race because our car was so good, we would love to make up for that this weekend.”

“I can’t wait to get behind the wheel of the Lawry’s Dodge in Michigan. The last time we had Lawry’s on the hood, we qualified fifth and finished sixth in the Busch race at Bristol. Hopefully this weekend we can improve on that. Michigan is a track I am very comfortable on. I finished second in the Cup race at Michigan a year ago. I know Trip and all the guys on the Ultimate Chargers crew have built a new chassis for this event and I am honored to be driving it for the first time. I am just happy to have another shot at a good run with these guys on Saturday.”

"Chicagoland Speedway is a track that I think this Ultimate Chargers team can do well at. Last weekend was kind of frustrating, to have to make a charge into the top-10 in the closing laps of the race and have the day end early because of mechanical issues. We have had a few tough finishes lately and it’s my goal to get us back out front and leading laps. Luckily we have Hellmann’s on the hood this week which has given us some good luck already this season at Texas and Atlanta.” Read more...

“Even though my last race was Atlanta, it feels like it’s been a long time since I raced in the Busch car so I am really anxious to get back in the seat this weekend. Texas is a track that I really enjoy. I won the spring Busch race there driving for Akins Motorsports. But in the fall I drove the Hellmann’s Dodge with Trip (Bruce) and these guys, and didn’t fair as well. We lead a lot of laps but ended up wrecking. I am just looking forward to a second chance to get a top finish at Texas for this Ultimate Chargers team. The Ultimate Chargers Dodge has a little different look to it this weekend with Wisk on the hood it’s their first race on the car this season and we want to give them a good finish as well. I am a lot more comfortable on this new track surface and with the new tire after racing in the All-Star Challenge last Saturday. “My plan at Talladega is to get out front and hopefully stay there because it’s so risky to hang around in the middle of the pack. I really want to get a top five for this Ultimate Chargers Team because the next time I get to drive this car is in New Hampshire in July. We finished sixth at Bristol to start out with but at Phoenix but we got the worst of someone else’s wreck. I know from first hand experience that the Talladega Busch race can be pretty wild. “It was nice to get a win early in the season and especially at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. I am proud of Trip Bruce and all of the guys for being so competitive week in and week out. I thought we had a shot to win Daytona. Boris just about won in Mexico and now we won one in Vegas. The coolest thing about this is how far the whole team has progressed in a year and the quality of the cars they are putting on the racetrack. “Larry Foyt tested for me here in January, so we’ll probably spend the first bit of practice on Wednesday working on getting the car setup to my liking.
